EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
WHAT IS IT?
Multiple acting activities where children explore a wide variety of emotions, perspectives, scenarios and characters.

CORE
WHAT IS IT?
Our unique ‘Teasing & Bullying’ resource that is taught through acting. Children are encouraged to use this whenever they are feeling targeted in any way. As well, we always teach the ‘physical danger’ exception and what they should do in order to best stay safe.
BENEFITS:
Designed to help children independently deal with common life situations in a confident, safe and healthy manner. Kids will also explore the difference between teasing and bullying, what a bystander is, and exploring why bullies act the way they do.

COURAGE LIST
WHAT IS IT?
Our mindful tips (taught & elaborated through acting activities) to build courage and manage nerves & anxiety.

Designed to provide children with a "go-to tool kit" that they can use for whenever they are feeling overwhelmed, nervous or scared.

LISTENING TO MY GUT & PERSONAL SAFETY
WHAT IS IT?
Acting lessons where children explore multiple ways to navigate potentially dangerous situations (i.e. being lost or being approached by a stranger). Psst…they LOVE acting these situations out and don't worry they are not scary!
BENEFITS:
Children are taught how to listen to their intuition AND brain in order to best prepare themselves for situations where they are feeling uncomfortable and/or threatened.

SPARX SHOWCASE PERFORMANCE
WHAT IS IT?
The program highlight!
On the first day of any multi-day camp or course, children will dig deep into their imaginations and contribute script ideas! The instructor will then combine their selections (including everyone picking their own character!) into one amazing Sparx script that they will receive during the next class! Throughout the rest of their program, children will rehearse and receive direction from the instructors. Within the last half hour on the last day of class, YOU are invited to come and watch your superstar perform this amazing play!
BENEFITS:
It gives children something to continually work towards throughout the program and it allows them to feel proud of themselves! Additionally, this whole process helps to enhance creativity, language arts skills, public speaking, confidence, teamwork, emotional & character exploration and theater techniques!

BIG SPARX 6-WEEK SATURDAY COURSES
WHAT IS IT?
If your child is Grade 3 or above or has expressed a desire to act on stage or on camera, this course is designed for them! Children will not only grow their confidence by learning the same valuable Sparx social-emotional lessons, but they will also explore professional acting techniques!
BENEFITS:
Children will experience the Sparx core values as well as gain experience acting on stage and on camera by practicing commercial, TV and film audition scripts!
