Different programs have different locations so please make sure you read your course or camp description before signing up!

  • Additionally, we LOVE booking and making connections with schools and group organizations for US  to come in and run multi-week  Educational Acting programs at YOUR child’s school or organization location! Reach out to us for more details  if you think your school or group organization would be interested.

Where do I drop off my child and is there parking available?

We require a parent or guardian to always be present for drop offs as mandatory Covid screenings  will take place.  A detailed email will  be sent a few days before your program start date that  will provide your class drop off details according to your specific class location.

What time do classes begin?

Our program class times vary.  Each time is listed when you click your selected class graphic located on our ‘CLASSES’ page.

What ages and  special conditions are allowed?

For our Full Day Summer Camps, we suggest  SK students for the upcoming  school year up to grade 6 and Afternoon Only Summer Camps we will accept JK, although they can do a Full Day if they wish (MUST BE 4 YEARS OLD & TOLIET TRAINED).  Generally, for all other programs (please contact us if you are unsure), as a general guideline, we accept Junior Kindergarten (4/5 years old) to Grade 6 (11/12 years old).  However, we do leave it up to the parent if a child is in  Grade 7 to sign up if they wish.  We invite JK-Grade 7  to try a drop-in class to see if they are a good fit!

Students must be able to fully regulate themselves in a group setting without any additional one on one support unless they bring someone qualified (such as a caregiver or parent) with them for the entire duration of the Program. Sparx will not be responsible or provide an additional staff member to assist.

How many students are in each class and what is the instructor/student ratio?

We like to keep our class sizes on the lower side. For our Afterschool and Saturday courses, we allow a minimum of 3-5 children and a maximum of 12 per group with 1 instructor. For Camps, we have a max of 20 children spilt into two age groups with 3 instructors.

My children has allergies and/or medical conditions. Who do I inform?

When you are selecting your class please ensure that you note this information in your class information form before checkout or email us at  info@sparxstudioacting.com. If you are unsure if your child should register, please contact your doctor or us for more information before enrolling. Please read our ‘What ages and special conditions are allowed’ question as well.

Are there places I can go during the class?

Feel free to explore Bloor West Village during the class!  There are many cafés, restaurants and stores located just two short blocks north of the church on Bloor St. W.  As well, High Park is just a 5-minute drive east from Windermere United Church on Bloor St. West!  For Midtown Classes, there is a park directly beside Manor Road and Mt.Pleasant and Eglinton nearby with many food shops and cafes.  In the Etobicoke locations, there are a few nearby malls, the Lakeshore and lots of shops close by as well! Email us if you would like more information 🙂

Can I sign up more than once?

We encourage our students to return to classes at Sparx Studio!  We specialize in teaching kids social-emotional and acting skills, which both require continuous training and practice for noticeable results.  Not to mention, we have a vast amount of content that we teach so they will always have new games. Therefore, our students will benefit from taking part in various programs throughout their Sparx journey, where they will learn new skills and build upon important lessons they have previously learned. Additionally, the dynamic of the groups vary for every new program and the students get to create, rehearse and perform a new, original play each time!

P.S. Our Sparx regulars  love coming back and say that each time is a different experience (and they still love playing their favourite games!). Furthermore, our instructors are trained to challenge each returning student in order to further progress your little Sparky!
